RHONDDA HERITAGE PARK

A chance to visit the Grade II* listed buildings that were once Lewis Merthyr Colliery guided by an ex-miner and including a visit 'underground' to experience what life was like as a coal miner. The tour normally incurs an admission charge but is offered FREE on weekends throughout September.

Cafe, Gallery and gift shop open.

1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th 21st, 22nd, 28th 29th September
9am - 4.30pm 10am, 12pm, 2pm

Fully accessible throughout the site - no access to underground experience for wheelchairs.

Take the A470 to Pontypridd from M4 , J32.At Pontypridd take the A4058, Rhondda Valleys and turn left when you reach Trehafod. Follow the brown & white tourism signs.
