For the North East Derbyshire Industrial Archaeological Society

Entitled ‘North Derbyshire Collieries’

It’s at 7.30 St Thomas Church Centre, Chatsworth Rd, Brampton (opposite Vauxhall garage).

A good talk and very interesting (I'm the 'young' non-member).

Nice to see someone else doing what I'm doing. Myself & ICLOK are going through the South Notts/Derbys area and going around investigating and putting together some info and maps about the remains of the coal/clay/ironstone mines and their transport networks. A much bigger job than originally expected because there is a lot to be seen.

I might have some more names of mines and some locations for the North Derbys stuff.

Be nice if you could put some of your photo on here.

I went in a mine once.... it was dark and scary..... full of weirdos
