I second that motion of thanks - an excellent trip, which I'd recommend to anyone with an interest in mines and mining!

Guys

Great trip. Worth every mile of the drive from down south.

Thanks Ian for organising and a huge thanks to our guide Neil who made it informative, interesting and exciting.

It is impossible to appreciate going miles and miles under the sea until you're sat inthe front of a transit driving around down there.

Thanks also to everyone else on the trip and also to everyone at Boulby who were great.

😉 :flowers:

Wasn't that a fantastic day out?

A big thank you to our guide Neil, and all at Boulby for giving us a day to remember.

A big thank you also to all the others who joined me on the trip. Too many great memories to even start listing here - suffice to say, would I do it again - you bet!

Would I do it again?

I'd be happy to do it all again this afternoon, tomorrow morning, tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow evening.....

Thanks again Ian and hope the flight back (and work this morning) was ok.

Anybody going to confess and put names to faces in the photo then ;)

Also notice that nobody wore the stylish shorts that I made the mistake of wearing... and was ridiculed about for weeks afterwards 🙂
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by

Thanks Viewer -made Newcastle Airport with plenty of time to spare. Just glad I'd booked the last flight back to Southampton and not an earlier one though!

I originally thought of getting an afternoon flight back so I could get down to the seafront here to see the QE2 depart for the last time, but decided that it would be too much of a rush. The journey with FlyBe was much easier than plodding down the A1/M1/A34 in the car on a November night.

Thats me at the front right kneeling down

I did consider the shorts but a few hours of being hot outweighed a lifetime of ridicule!

Back row. Tall and uncomfortable looking. Thinking a lifetime of ridicule might not have cut him in half as much as ill-fitting overalls. 😞
