A new event has been added to the Events page.

Event name: Cwmorthin Work Weekend

Date & time: 12/01/2008 at 09:00

Details: Proposed date for the next bout of work in Cwmorthin
Further re-timbering work in Lake Level Adit, the dodgey work has now been done but further timbering is necessary to ensure long term access.
If anyone knows a source of scaffolding planks we could do with about 10 or 12 to replace missing parts of staircase in a chamber below Lake Level, would make a practical route down/up for less acrobatic visitors.
Further work will include clearing up the Back Vein Incline if time allows.

It is work but it is also a pretty good fun weekend, volunteer if you feel inclined!

Added myself - it's the first weekend of the Boat Show, but I shall try and make my excuses.

We shall have to go shopping for materials one evening before then, but that's not a matter for public discussion!

And prommising that this is not in any way linked to you attending....
We are having to cancel/postpone this work weekend due to unforeseen circumstances.
Hope to reset the date for Febuary but will update as soon as I know.
It is a pain and I apologise to those who were planning on coming.
Will explain the reasons later 😉
