B175 has recently uploaded some useful documents. However, there are now two entries for this colliery.

Suggest the documents on second entry for Katoomba Colliery Coal Colliery should be added to the original Katoomba Coal Colliery.

:oops:Yes you're right. I tried to find an entry for Katoomba but the computer said no. So I put in my own and the computer said there's now 2 mine entries and a railway entry. Rats. Tried to delete and the computer said....you've heard it before.

So if the tech team can shift things about please do so. The info relates to both mine and railway in equal measure.

Btw I found the "brochure" in a pile of secondhand books in Somerset. Weird.

That's an interesting find. I've been to Katoomba several times now. Very interesting place. I will read your documents before I go again.

I've moved the photos and the description from the original entry added by Carnkie to the duplicate, and then deleted the old entry (easier than moving the documents from duplicate to original!)

The reason you couldn't delete the duplicate was you'd already uploaded documents; the system won't let mines/quarries/sites be deleted when photo(s) or document(s) have been added.

It's just a safeguard against admins/editors mistakenly deleting duplicates before being sure that all content has either been explicitly deleted, or moved.
