It's easy to start a new topic (also referred to as a thread) on AditNow!

This is a handy way to either share information with the mine exploring and history community; or to ask the forum's knowledgeable members for their help or input.

If you wish to start a Topic, firstly navigate to the forum home page: this can be done by clicking on "Mine Exploration Forum" in the navigation bar at the top of the page:

đŸ”—Personal-Album-2-Image-47143[linkphoto]Personal-Album-2-Image-47143[/linkphoto][/link]

You should then select the most appropriate sub-forum in which to post your topic: in general, most topics or queries related to a specific mine or area should be placed in the appropriate geographial forum.

There are also forums for discussing gear and equipment; for people searching for former work-mates or relatives; or just for general queries.

Don't worry about starting a topic in the wrong forum: one of the administrators will be able to move it easily if required.

In this example, the North Wales forum is chosen by clicking on the link:

The, click on the "New Topic" button:

đŸ”—Personal-Album-2-Image-47145[linkphoto]Personal-Album-2-Image-47145[/linkphoto][/link]

Enter a Subject for the topic and the content: once you are happy, click on "Submit" - if you want to see what the Topic will look like before you post it, press the 'Preview' button.

đŸ”—Personal-Album-2-Image-47146[linkphoto]Personal-Album-2-Image-47146[/linkphoto][/link]

Once the Topic has been posted, you can follow the link to return to the forum you posted it in:

đŸ”—Personal-Album-2-Image-47147[linkphoto]Personal-Album-2-Image-47147[/linkphoto][/link]

You will see the Topic you have just created at the top of the forum list - click on the name if you wish to view it:

đŸ”—Personal-Album-2-Image-47148[linkphoto]Personal-Album-2-Image-47148[/linkphoto][/link]

The topic will now be displayed and will be visible to all users of AditNow.

If you do wish to make any changes, clicking on the "Edit" link will enable you to do this.

You missed destroying rare lichens. đŸ˜® but the expert must be rhychydwr1. :flowers: Perhaps that should be old topics.
P.S. I did wonder about a new topic on the preservation of flora and fauna being diametrically opposed to the same of IA. Both groups of course take polarised positions. Now that could be a good topic.

Given this topic will be pruned so it only contains relevant comments...

I shall add an irrelevant one.

Did you know that CCW consider dogs wagging their tail against lichens that grow on trees to be a threat to rare species?

It's unbelievable that dog owners can be so ignorant. After all they let them wander around areas which are known to be dodgy with mine shafts. Ergo rescue operations. Perhaps the trees with rare lichen should be protected. Unless of course docking comes to mind.

Reminds me of a story doing the rounds years ago.

A bloke has a Listed Building covered in some 'Rare Ivy', the council write threatening letters to the effect of get the ivy off or we'll have you!

The 'Rare Ivy' bunch write threatening letters to effect of touch that Ivy and you're as good as dead.

Some time later the building mysteriously suffers a major fire, thus removing two major obstacles to redevelopment. đŸ˜‰

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
