Yes Sinker, Diffwys was the last time, i have been revisiting a few places in order to redo a few photos so havn't been very sociable for a while 😞

Carlin, the photo with the turntable has been disguised to a degree, i will PM you ...

The Mach Loop photos are the best I've ever seen. I love the close-ups of the cockpits. Nice underground stuff too, especially the turntable picture. Being honest I think some of the HDR pictures are a little over-cooked as you've got some bright purple and green pixels in places that should be jet black. But overall very nice indeed.

Cheers

I don't see the purple and green pixels, maybe a screen calibration issue?

Interestingly, the subject of HDR is always going to be contraversial. I agree, overcooked HDR is not nice, however, i like to use it as an effects filter on occasions and not for its true purpose.
The true HDR photos on the site are difficult to pic out, for example, the four legged crane with the wagon.

nice website there mate.
I agree about the HDR. I've been told that HDR has its place for making greater contrast with shadows and highlights and not underground, but actually I've liked the results I get from doing HDR underground too, really gives the rock a greater scope of detail, as in your pics Barney

Jon - Judging by the messages i have, most folk havnt figured it out, even the ones who have been there
If i thought it too obvious it certainly wouldnt be public!

fjällvandring - Yeah it can work sometimes on underground photos, as you say in areas of high detail. There are times when it doesnt too, i do have a gathering of epic disasters!! If the originals are below par it just doesnt work.
