Any gentlemen considering the purchase of a hard / compact / waterproof camera should seriously consider watching this first. Mine is the Panasonic and Simon will vouch for its quality.

The testing is particulary severe and mirrors the use to which mine explorers put their camera's too.

For those who have the calendar (if you haven't, make sure you order one from the top-up batch!), I'm reliably informed that July's picture was taken on a Canon D10 - and it's an excellent shot.

I've got a D10 which I've only used underground the once and although I've not been overly impresses with it in bright conditions (as is the case with most cameras designed for underwater use), it seems very competent in low light conditions; and indeed underwater.

I can confirm July was indeed taken with a D10 ;D
As with most cameras it yields good results after you experiment a bit and get to know the settings that work.

Although you'll have to settle for jcam in a boil-in-the-bag oversuit rather than a hottie in a bikini.

Teesdale before going over to Weardale and ending back in the pub (Barney) with the impressive photo of the Spitfire going under the bridge.
Is that enough of a clue or has dementia really set in due to lack of undergound exploits.

Thats about as waterproof as they get, excellent video.
I see Hodge Close there as well. Years ago I was climbing at HC and half way up a big route I heard this "odd" noise. Turned tound to see half a dozen kids with two scaffold bars under a huge slate slab which overhung the dive pool. I think they thought the bubbles were a big fish....nearly bust a lung shouting across at them.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
