Can anyone recommend a good robust waterproof bag? Many on the interweb claim to be "Waterproof" but all seem to leak if immersed for any length of time. I need it to be big enough to carry a change of clothes, phone, etc... all suggestions welcome.

You might be better off with a 'rocket tube', if they are still obtainable in the larger size.

Thanks I like the idea of a rocket tube, but local army surplus store closed recently so will have to travel a bit to find a decent store to rummage in. Drum in a suitable bag seems like a good option at the moment, anyone got any other suggestions?

At least I know now what the strange tube my dad was wearing was for.

Probably an improvement of the ammo boxes we used to cart about underground

Rocket or mortar bomb tubes are good if you can find them but they seem to be scarce these days, I suspect the army use something different now. I'm afraid mine isn't for sale....

Drum in tackle bag is pretty much a proven standard.
