Ok....not necessarily related to a recall but....has anyone else noticed a "slight" deterioration in the quality of Petzl stuff? In particular the "feel" of the mechanisms on a Stop, for example? Or the latest Croll? I have a few old (years old, second hand but from a very well trusted colleague) bits which still feel fantastic, but the brand new (and yes...genuine, not fake!) Basic ascender and Croll that I bought for my lad don't feel quite as good? Kind of "lightweight"....
I know that the stuff is genuinue as I got it through Lyon who are a Petzl dealer.
Anyone agree or am i just being picky? ::)

http://www.lyon-outdoor.co.uk/News-Events/news-a-events.html indicates two products with recall alerts in June.

I guess people get to know by word of mouth and through internet forums, magazines, Facebook etc., but I wonder how many people don't get to hear? I've just had a recall alert for the brakes in my Disco and that was by letter presumably via the DVLA database (I didn't buy it new). Thing is, just because a piece of SRT kit isn't in the same price range as a car doesn't mean to say the results can be as fatal if it does break...
