The Yule marble quarries were possibly (probably) the most important in the U.S. mainly because it was one of the purist marbles ever quarried. It was used in many landmarks including the Tomb of the Unknowns but in particular the Lincoln Memorial. I could prattle on but I'll settle for a photo of the quarry of unknown date and two links. One is a PDF (Colorado Yule Marble-Building Stone of the Lincoln Memorial) which is a bit technical but interesting and the other has a couple of interesting photos.
