Well, me and Mrs Stubble are up for it (she's a geologist - oh dear). Can I suggest it's better not in the summer. As some of the mines are a bit remote and involve a bit of walking - it's too hot. 😎 What about October, Christmas or February next year?

My areas of interest are the the 4 areas:
Bedar & Sierra Almagrera

Mazarron
La Union & Portman

Alquife

Rio Tinto, Tharsis & San Domingo

I'm happy to show a bit of those areas.

Depending where you want to go - a cheap flight to either Malaga or Alicante. Hire a car/cars, stay in Hostals/cheap hotels/pensions - away we go.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YES..... Looked at flights recently to Granada £80 return from East Mids, £22 car hire / day....

I gotta get some of those engine houses amidst palm trees...

I am here as we speak - Linares is fantastic but this place is even better, loads of Engine Houses, wooden headgears, winders still in place, flat ropes, ants, processing plants

La Union you will not believe wit all the stuff to see, Portman wow!!! Plus loads of underground if you have the time to sort it

4-5 days as a prospecting trip - then you can come back later to concentrate on the bits you really like.
