You also have the silver mines at Cairnpapple and several limestone mines around that area and also near Milngavie and, a bit further north, around Cambusbarron. Also some small - scale copper mines in the Ochils, eg Blairlogie. If you want to cross the Forth there are some good limestone mines in Fife. You are correct about Leadhills being useless, for now. I don't know the details but there will inevitably be limestone workings in Ayrshire. There are a few lead, zinc or bares workings in the south west, down near Criffell if I remember correctly.
