Just been for an interview with a firm that make battery packs for satellites. They use off the shelf 18650's in their products, the bloke that interviewed me did not have any answers to 12% S.O.C at -273K and Zero G, so I suppose that if E.S.A. et al are prepared to use them, it should be fine for us mere mortals on earth!!!

Reality check

All energy forms are potentially dangerous. Any electric battery is a means of holding an electrical charge and if short circuited can cause fire or injury.

Of course, doing upwards of 80mph in a metal box with gallons of low flash point highly inflammable and potentially explosive liquid under the back seat is ordinary everyday behaviour.
My avatar is a poor likeness.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
