Not at all. Am looking forward to see what it is.

Well we don't have a definitive answer.
We dropped down the open stope on the hill above the tree-line, expecting it to open into your ? but were surprised to find a flooded winze rather than an open drop. Water constantly dripping into the stope must be getting out somewhere, and the area of your ? does have water dripping down so there might be a connection. However most of the bottom of the stope is hidden by broken stemples and loose rock. A hole down through this loose rock leads to the winze and a short passage heading inbye for a short distance.

We had a very interesting evening, though finishing rather later than we'd envisaged. 🙂

It would make a hell of a through trip! Perhaps I should volunteer to go and poke at it with a bar from below....?!

That's what I like... a captain leading at the front! From Wyn's photo there looks to be a tide mark. If the right place was poked it may drain quicker allowing a closer inspection of the area under the winz. Then who knows, Gilfach towers? Where do we reckon the right place for Sinker to poke would be? On the rickety crossing. To make things a bit safer (Professionally), I can make the tea ::)
