Indeed it was a great evening. Good to test out my gear on the pitches, but it seems my body's centre of gravity is giving me problems ascending where there is not a rock face to put my feet. My body goes backwards thus twisting the croll off centre which then creates resistance. Then I cannot asscend unless the rope is weighed down or someone holds the rope at the bottom of the pitch. Even with the chest harness really tight.
But life is not perfect is it.
Maybe some lead weights on my legs might sort it π
