I agree with you on this, I have posted two notes and questions of ownership of these items on the listing, if others do the similar it may put people off doing this.
The NAMHO guidelines are very clear on this sort of thing to leave where you find it, it affects the long term archeology and more importantly it remains for all to see and enjoy
