I think I would do it for the unique perspective of flying over the quarry, so the longer the better.

If you want to feel the wind in your hair, just stick your head our of a car window at speed.

I believe the actual zip wire length is 1500m which equates to a tad under 1 mile. So, the trip on the video took approx. a minute which means an average speed of approx. 60 mph!

Saw Griff Rhys Jones whizz down the zipline, I want a go at that ! Its fifty quid though, I guess its worth it; to go to my local country hills park is 3 quid to park. There is a zip wire thats 5 M, so thats 3 quid for 5 meters, so fifty quid for 1500 meters is a bargain !

I wonder what the price will be for the three combined at Llechwedd? I gather they have recently started work on installing them.

Slightly off topic, but whilst loitering somewhere in Wales a few years back a few of us bumped into a chap who'd featured in Griff's Mountain series.

He told us that he'd been warned in advance by Griff's crew that Griff was a bit of a tosser and it turned out that was very much the case. :offtopic:

I'm afraid the chamber 34 incline zip line in Cwmorthin is good enough for me. Couldn't get up any speed at all....thank goodness! πŸ™‚
