I think this slate wall somewhere in Cwmorthin is both attractive and beautifully made. Don't remember seeing anything quite like this underground on my last trip to Cwmorthin, which focused primarily on the Back Vein incline and surroundings.
I am planning another trip to Cwmorthin for about 2 weeks time and am hoping to get some good or unusual photographs of underground features to share. I was wondering how far into the mine this construction is, if it's difficult to get to, or currently inaccessible due to flooding!
