Whilst looking for something unrelated to exploration, quarrying, mining and North Wales Google offered me the following interesting page:-

http://www.penmaenmawr.com/historyQuarry.html

which may be of interest to any N Wales members who have not previously read it. I'm referring to the section entitled Penmaenmawr Historical Society Booklet 1978 in particular. The photo of the quarry is also superb. Thank you Google, when we/you get it wrong it can be interesting.

The photo is one of the series taken by/for the Cambridge University Aerial survey and often reproduced in geological publications. They also took shots of Penrhyn Quarry, Dinorwic, Nantlle, Blaenau Ffestiniog etc. Excellent quality.

The map is the territory - especially in chain scale.

Digressing slightly - what's the state of play with the De Winton frames up in the quarry?
