Something else I'd like to point out is something that I was taught when I first got onto the internet back in the days of newsgroups. Before you post to any online forum, take some time to observe how it operates and what the norms of behaviour are so when you do start to contribute, you don't make foolish mistakes which get you attacked or ostracised from the outset. The old alt.peeves newgroup was particularly merciless in shredding anyone foolish enough to post there in ignorance, as I remember....
I did try to point out politely that a look at the photo page for Cae Coch would reveal straight away that this mine has not been worked for a long time and thus is not commercially active, despite the fact you clearly hadn't bothered to look around the site but had dived straight in and posted, presumably having found AN from a google search for sulphur and mines. If you
had taken time to look around, you would have realised that the site is mostly concerned with abandoned mines, and a more appropriate query would have been to ask if the membership knew where there were any active sulphur mining operations.
The English saying "you're six feet down, stop digging" comes to mind, unless you're intending to line the hole you're digging yourself into, get some winding gear over it, and call it a mineshaft....
Follow the horses, Johnny my laddie, follow the horses canny lad-oh!
