Excellent photos, this was a very old pit, and worked several seams, including the Flockton Thin, Old Hards, New Hards, and finaly the Beeston/Whinmoor.
The large buildings shown were the engineers workshops and stores. Also this pit was part of the Massive West side project, which meant that all the Coal went to Wooley via a massve complex of conveyors and bunkers.
