Hmmm, this is interesting hymac580c. The only way in now is abbing a short shaft down to floor 5 (IIRC, might be down to 4). Is this level 2 adit still extant do you know?

We had a look and had a bit of a dig yesterday. But could not find any trace of a passage thru. I think perhaps a hole (about 4 ft) could be dug down and possibly a plastic pipe inserted. But one would have to be very enthusiastic to do so. When we went in this way 1994 the the roof of the addit was supported by rotting timber supports. You had to squeeze in between two timbers and the condition of the rock was very poor in that area. It might have collapsed by now. In fact My thoughts were that is was safer to go in by the air shaft with a rope. That is how we have entered the mine after.
I took a video photo of the other 2 members coming out which shows the location of the entry hole. I can send you a copy if you wish in case someone would want to have a go at digging a way in.

There's a discussion on Darkplace about a possible second entrance to Moel Fferna which might interest you.

Ay, but a few of us were there back in May and saw no sign of it then. Not to say something hasn't changed since then though.

If I remember correctly. It was on the addit with rhe timber bridge (bridge of death) underground. But I will have a look at the old video later this week just to check it out. When we were going underground it was at a time when we got our information off old miners and quarrymen. Amd verbally from people who had been underground at different mines. You could not get much info on the internet then. Wheras now you can look a mine up, and most information is there on one's screen.

Hi, sorry to be a pain in the butt but I am not registered with dark places therefore I cannot read the script. Any chance of pasting the article on here?
Thanks.
