More fantastic archive photos hymac580c, many thanks for continuing to contribute them, fascinating to see.

Was Dwr Oer absorbed into Llechwedd when taken over? And where abouts was it in relation to Llecwedd/Manod/Maen Offeren etc? Thanks!

Hi, it was sold by tender. Interested parties were Cwt Y Bugail/Bwlch/Manod (T. Glyn Williams) and Llechwedd. There was a right of way with Dwr Oer site onto the Graig Ddu track which went up to Cwt Y Bugail via the incline tracks
Llechwed were succesfull in purchasing the site and they hold the rights of way etc. Nothing has happened at the site for years. All biuldings have almost disapeared. I will post a map of the site later this week when I get time to scan it. I have marked the site and included the map referance. It is just below the two Dwr oer lakes. Not far from Manod lake.
Bellach dim ond swn y gwynt yn chwibian, lle bu gynt yr engan ar cynion yn tincian.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
