When I was at university, there was a chap who got paid several tens of thousands to put a big chalk cylinder in the Tees IIRC. The idea being that it would gradually erode and the associated reasoning was a part of this artist's art. There was "hell up". He said "As long as it's controversial, it's art". In the same vein, we were going to go down there and blow it up, for the sake of our freedom, it's a good thing that idea didn't get beyond the pub!
