Coming back from a holiday in Wales last week, I passed Brymbo, near Wrexham, and I knew I'd heard the name before.

In the 1990 booklet "Mineral Tramways Project" by Adam Sharpe. there's the above photo of a railway girder bridge at Scorrier. It has the name of the foundry BRYMBO and the casting date 1866.

I've definitely seen this bridge and I remember this name being pointed out to me back in the 90's, when I was either on a Trevithick Society outing or on a group walk led by the booklet's author.

It's not the bridge over the Poldice tramroad, that's a brick bridge, I believe, so is this bridge the one over the road at the site of the old Scorrier station? Is the girder still there?

If it is still there, can anybody upload a picture of it for me to see, please?

Good idea! Just done that and it's non-conclusive since there's a yellow and black warning strip attached at the top of the bridge on both sides covering them up.

So I guess I'm relying on somebody (a local perhaps) actually remembering whether that casting mark was there.....
