Ridge has been sealed for a while - the recent bout of inaccessibility is entirely down to pikery in the adjacent mine.

It's a combination of pikery and urbexers, the ubexers have done the most to publicise the place to the advantage of the pikey's. 😠

Entirely fair point, though pikeys were stripping the CADs long before the internet was invented. I'd never act as an apologist for a UE forum, though as far as I'm aware Ridge / Monks was never posted in public on 28dl while the access was open.

Yep, they were doing Monkton when I was there in the late 70s,(and probably before).

There was a back way in, but again some prat posted up pictures of it on the internet and it was sealed up.
