As United Downs is drawing to a close and people not being too excited about a big incinerator....I was wondering where might be chosen for a dump next.

I was looking for surface remains/open shafts at Cargoll the other day (next to East Wheal Rose) and noted that dumping had taken place there in the past. There was a fair amount of "hole" left that could be filled.

I'm thinking that somewhere will have to be found relaitively pronto.

Obviously, a few old engine houses and shafts aren't really going to be a problem to obliterate. I wonder where will be on the cards next......

I have an idea myself and it would solve several other "problems" as well as being convenient, but I'd rather the thread didn't degenerate into ultra-rage straight away!

Pontificate away chaps.

Are there not one or two clay pits that might be used?

I have a funny feeling that the clay pits have some sort of "temporarily offline" status to prevent them actually having to sort out the holes.....

I imagine this would ****** up the planning.

I can just imagine the hell up at Armaggedon Land (aka Eden Project) with the stink. It's not very "eco", is it?

I suppose that Tim could pipe the methane into his biomes (since no-one smokes inside) to give an enhanced greenhouse effect, thus saving on carbon hungry heating

If you dump in the pits where is the stupid eco town going to go?
Give it a couple years and the eco town will be a dump anyway

Anyway the solution:
Keep Cornwall tidy...............Dump in Devon
