It's such a pity that Tom the Stick (ferret) hasn't bothered to catch the beautiful copper staining in the 5 photos uploaded to the album. The hanging-wall is beautifully coloured.

You call those nice photos? They the usual dark ones where nothing can be seen or distinguished.

Another point Tom the Stick (ferret) is NOT the contact for visiting Crowndale Copper Mine as he has stated in the User Album. The contact is either the Plymouth Caving Group (through proper channels) or the Devon Mining Club (through me)

Actually I like them.
Perhaps open forum is not the place for you to air your differences with Ferret
If you don't like his pictures then you do not have to look, this format of attacking his pictures and even his user name is as tedious here as it was on DarkPlaces months ago.

Agree with Jagman, let's all be nice here folks

Personally I think there's space for both photographic approaches, and I'm grateful that both Tin Miner and Ferret have taken time to upload photos here; the South West is somehwat under represented on this site still.

I have to admit though, this shot does show the hanging wall and the colouring off to fantastic effect. I like it.

Ok Jagman & Simonrl I'll cool it down. The problem is that Tom the Stick is basically stating that he's got control over Crowndale Mine and if this gets back to the owner she might stop both clubs that she allows access. Access can be arranged through the Plymouth Caving Group committee and not Tom, or the Devon Mining Club through me.

Tin Miner, there is a specific thread on the forum detailing access to various places. A suitable post on there will give all the correct information, if there has been an error elsewhere.

TM. i was not for jour information stating that i have access to crowndale anymore than all of us at PCG do, but simply acting as a point of contact for others on the forum as you where not on here then and i was one of the few active members of the mining community in our part of the world to be here, sorry if i have caused any problem but with respect i agree with Simon and Jagman this is not the place to discuss this, you know where i am, just let me know if there’s a problem!
Cheers for now

If you had stated the PCG as the point of contact and not yourself there wouldn't have been a problem. You don't have the lady's contact details, and you would have had to come through the committee anyway. Stating the correct details makes life a lot easier for everyone concerned
