There is an interesting discussion re Odin mine and the collapse and various thoughts on Uk caving one or two on here may wish to join in

Lot of stuff to wade through but there are some interesting comments and some bits of useful information on Odin. Some of the proposals are a bit optimistic! Thanks for drawing attention to it Mike.

Well, in my experience, pessimisim usually yields very little, hence the 'upbeat' nature of the thread! Odin won't fix itself except in a downwards, more compacted fashion, so I think any ideas at this time are worth considering - without wishing to duplicate, I'm happy to post here too on the topic..;)

Visited Odin today, there is a notice warning about the collapse. I didn't venture in as I was a tourist without any boots, helmet or lamp. Couldn't find the crushing circle though. When I last visited it was easy to find, there seems to be lots of trees grown now. Oh, it was in 1970 I last was there, and I found some perfect flourite crystals in in vugh.
