Hello I am very new to the site, I was wondering if anyone has any information on John Nowell that also owed the Haunchwood coal mine.
I researching my family tree which has led me to this site which I find very intresting. The earlist Nowell i have in my tree is John Nowell born 1780 (my 4th grandfather) He married Elizabeth stokes at (st Bartholomew's church Wednesbury) Any information on the family and their ownership regarding the mine would be really helpful

Thanks for your reply, I did see that information thats what's brought me on to this sight, I would like to find out more about the family and there dealings with the mine
any advice where to look to get this information would be really helpful. thanks sharon
