If you read the report on the mine you will see that Adam Simpson of Bonsall owned 12/24ths share in the mine 1780s
Adam Simpson was son of John and Elizabeth Simpson nee Ginny of Weston Upon Trent whose brother Peter Simpson was my 5XGrandfather (married Elizabeth Curson of Crich in 1719 at St Mary's Church Crich Peter a Fulling Miller at Mill House Green Wirksworth

Adam Simpson was Deputy Barmaster Soke & Wapentake of Wirksworth ..HIs daughter Mary born 1755 married Richard Arkwright son of Sir Richard Arkwright in 1780 at Bonsall Parish Church they living at Willersley Castle

Adam Simpson lived at The Manor HJouse Bonsall which in time came to be known as The Study Manor House a prep school owned by that time by the Flint-Prince family and where William Bemrose was educated as a 9 year old he with his brother Sir Henry Howe Bemrose founding The Bemrose Printing Corporation..
