I am researching my family tree and have found that my maternal grandfather, Joseph George Painter, Born 26/02/1885, worked at the Hilcote B Winning mine. I would be very interested if someone could point me in the direction of any further information regarding dates, what he did etc.

Sounds like a match!
Joseph George Painter and Edith Jane Waller were my maternal grandparents. I'm sorry to say that I know nothing about their history.
I know that they had quite a few children, including my mum, Ruby.
What is your connection?
Incidentally, my name is William Clive Yeomans, Joe is a nickname.

your mum ruby is my great aunt, my great grandma lilian is her sister 🙂 she passed in 2006 unfortunateley, i have some info as im building a tree but aint getting very far :('
