Nice, we've got a sea wall built from something very similar.

Intriguing to note that the stone blocks at Saltburn (c.1825) and the ones at Grosmont (c.1836) were laid 'square' with each other and with the rails but those at Crich were laid in 'diamond' formation.

I think Silkstone is as well. Laying them in Diamond pattern not common here!
