The 2012 AditNow photography competition is ready to go.For those not familiar with it, or who joined the site in the last 12 months or so, we hold a photo competition every year. The intention is for a good natured competition, a bit of fun and photographs that are true to the site's exploring and documenting ethos.
It's also an opportunity for the site to give something back to the many, many people who generously contribute their photographs and knowledge. For 2012 - Categories for Below Ground and Above Ground PhotographyThe topic for this year's competition is
'Mining Remains' and for the first time we've split it into categories for Below Ground and Above Ground photography.
In previous years the competition was open only to below ground photographs, however we felt this didn't fully represent the hobby or the breadth of interest.
PrizesOnce again some fantastic prizes up for grabs, in the
Below Ground category we have a Sten Pack 1 from Excellent Stuff www.excellentstuff.co.uk as 1st prize, with a Fenix LD40 from ABC Powermarine www.abcpm.co.uk as runner's up prize.
In the
Above Ground category The www.moorebooks.co.uk Prize for Excellence in Mining Surface Photography of £80 worth of mining books will be awarded to the winner.
Subject MatterThis year's subject is
'Mining Remains'.
This is deliberately broad and hopefully will encourage plenty of high quality photographs.
