Hi, Im new but v interested in mines of this area. Amateur but local to here and rejuvenating my thesis from aeons ago about area- mining, fishing. Trying to find mines, photos...anything about Appletree by Charlestown or Polmear - S or W. Got Dines, de la Beche etc but anyone got anymore? any help most appreciated. Hope you can help! J

Thank you so much. Was planning to go to Kresen Kernow so now have a better plan. Know Wheal Martyn well and excellent but v China clay oriented. appreciate your help. Best. j

Can’t wait to visit Kresen Kernow! And of course in Cornish ...made me laugh. Being v new, when archives that you call ...HB, ME, CzF .. what are they referring to? ! Will order up some stuff is especially 1835 survey of Charlestown but help on those acronyms much appreciated . J

Ah....HB is definitely Polmear so lots of docs to see at Kresen Kernow. Yet to explore ME and CF on Crinoidea. Yet to find out what Brooke index is. Anyone help? Yet

Just to thank you. 1st visit to Kresen Kernow brilliant...really helpful staff and followed your advice. HB yielded lots of Wheal Polmear plans....and lots more to discover. Really recommend the archives.
