Thanks, ebgb, for posting this on the site.
I must admit, I was fully aware of the paper, but had not made the effort, to search it out.
One important fact, pertinent, to our explorations at East Greenlaws mine, and the subsequent explorations by Skippy and friends, is the statement, that prior to closure in 1902( a date I had summised), Greenlaws mine was the main lead producer, of the Company.
When we re-opened the mine little Vein stuff could be seen or found, and clearly Weardale lead, produced fluorspar as a bi-product from their dressing operations, Hence ALL the vein was sent to be dressed, leaving voids in the Vein where there should have been levels.

My Pleasure!

I've quite a few such gems that I've magpied together over the years. not quite sure where to 'file' them on here mine wise. Was quite a bit in there on one of my pet subjects hence sticking where it is.

will have a rummage and see if I can post any that are vaguely relevant to a particular 'ole

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
