Hi all, I've been interested in Mining and visiting sites above ground and below for a few years now.

I'm in West Cornwall so know a good few sites, Have been down Crofty, Geevor & few others too 🙂

Welcome ....if you're visiting sites in Camborne / Redruth area do it quickly before the council / government decide to build over or "renovate" the site or develop it.. Historical mining areas = Brown field development sites around here IMO !
Rant over ...I think the serious underground guys have a club / clubs you can join in West Cornwall...I just mainly poke around Surface sites with a camera / do the historical stuff. But have been down Crofty twice as well.

Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?

I'm out and about quite a lot, both workwise and pleasurewise.

It is always good to meet new people and yap about mining.

Welcome, great to see more local explorers, I can clearly say this is a great place full of all the information you will ever need, full of friendly helpful people.

I'm also out a lot pleasure wise, exploring mostly above level but always up for climbing through adits and down shafts

as Drillbilly said

Always good to meet new people and yap about mining.

I can clearly say since joining this forum I've never looked back and always looking for the next place to explore

Thanks, yes i've spend a few years going around above ground, want to do a bit more exploring below, i'd love to go down a shaft but don't know much about roping and also need to sort out my fear of heights, :lol:

Just as happy to find a adit, enter and view the shaft from below. i'm gonna head up Cligger in the next few weeks as not been there for a few years.

I'm also a new member from West Cornwall (Camborne area for me). Welcome to the forum, I've lurked in the background here for a few years and there really is a wealth of knowledge.
