I believe Mr RL has a small consignment of new 'bricks' and may be able to help! 😉

Obsolete now I'm afraid. Went out of production in early 2012 and no stock left with resellers or Enersys themselves.

They pop up on eBay from time to time.

Beware ones that have been on the shelf too long. I bought a batch of 100 old stock ones and they wouldn't hold a charge for long. Fortunately the supplier refunded me and a few people on here got free door stops!

You have an alternative...

The L9 LiIom battery is designed as a replacement for the lead acid cells. Whereas the L16 must be charged on the dedicated LiIon charger the lower capacity L9 will charge on the lead acid charger just fine.

If converting an old G series lamp with a metal battery top you will also need a replacement plastic battery top. But apart from that it is a direct replacement.

An L9 isn't cheap. I sell them for about £100 plus around £12 (I think) for the battery top.

Or there is a guy selling old stock ones on eBay at the moment for fifty quid:

You were luckier than me then

(Mine came from a different supplier - don't wish to be read as suggesting the same supplier supplied iffy ones)

Yours are export ones I think, intended for the USA hence the MHSA labelling on the boxes and crimp terminals supplied?

Turned them on at 9.00pm last night , and still burning this morning at 8.00am when i turned them off
I have two chargers ,the older metalic green twin charger does not seem to charge them as well as the more modern red Oldham single charger , as the two lamps i charged on the newer one were brighter than the two lamps charged on the older charger
