I've just acquired an ex GPO Wolf FS flame safety lamp. Whilst most flame safety lamps appear to be designed to use Colsaline (is that how you spell it) I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Wolf FS is designed to use paraffin. Could some kind soul point me in the right direction.

Does anyone have a manual / instruction book for one of these lamps?

I've got an old leaflet about the lamp. It says it runs on premium grade paraffin.

Just picked up some from my local farm shop. Incendiary experiments to follow!

An old GPO engineer once told me that shallow manholes were cleared of CO2 build-up by bucket on rope with the CO2 being poured into the nearest drain. Might even be true for the way things were in the old days?

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
