For those interested in the new lamp from Oldham here's Sinker sporting the DLi.

It's probably bigger than it looks photographer by itself. But I'm quite impressed with its performance. Doesn't have the traditional pencil thin beam, it's good to walk around by, spill is fine. Not going to interest most in the recreational market, but as a pukka work lamp it's damn fine.

I was pleasantly surprised by it. It has a far wider spill then my Oldham, and is easily usable for navigating, with a decent enough spot at the centre.

Notice he's not wearing a chin strap, just don't nod your head near a drop, or you're in the dark! :ohmygod:

In defence of Mr Sinker that's not his helmet, it's one I took in specifically to show the lamp on a builder's style helmet.

But yes, it is slightly front heavy as a setup and I'd not wear it without a chinstrap  (same goes for all helmet mounted internal battery / battery round the back of helmet lamp setups)
