Well, I eventually got off my rear end and made it. Take one handtorch, 3x 10,000mAh 'D' cells, and an SSC-P7 LED, add some time with a rotary tool, and here is the result. I still need to waterproof the switch area, but it lives!

Looks like it might have been a single Cree emitter before?

Spot on :thumbup:

It was originally 176 Lumens, which for me, is nowhere near enough. My next task is to get an Optic in there, and focus that beam into something more coherent.
