I seem to have mislaid a small book of notes for some of my pictures. Can anyone identify any of these Wheal Jane men in the picture? and give me date to go with it. this is the County Adit by-pass which was engineered to circumvent a major collapse in the main adit. The original route of which would be at 90 degrees to this picture and directly behind the photographer. The date is probably more important at present.
The Guy in civvies is John Evans, a local farmer and land owner.

This might have been posted before but I've only just come across this, there's more videos by the same person(s) on Utube including one of County Adit.

I seem to remember the guy (gaffer) on the right had only one eye.

Make some of us up-country boys look a bit soft, with our self-lining in shafts, especially if they are full of loose stuff on ledges. Having been under someone when a ladder way collapsed, I'm perhaps biased.:o

Back to the original post, were the blokes Jane men or from Cementation? I remember a bloke from Cemo with an eye problem who looked a bit like the one referenced, Paul something FWIR.
