Anyone see last nights episode?
Extremely interesting article on current practices with underground explosives, would be interested to know if the same techniques are used (or will be used) in the UK? They were directing the explosive force down through a stope and collecting material from a tunnel underneath.

Loved the bit where the detonation is done by a code on a PC above ground!

Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?

I’m pretty sure this has been discussed before, but I still believe that at around 45,000 tons the Bagger 288 is still the Daddy-O.

In 2001 it was famously moved 14 miles from the Hambach mine to the Garzweiler mine across Autobahn 61, the river Erft, a railway line, and several roads.
