just been announced that the Lottery Heritage Fund has given a 400 K grant to restore the engine to full working order, look forward to seeing that!

That's good to hear. I'd also like to see some funding go to safeguarding the Hemingfield Colliery site.

Yep this is fabulous news, lets hope they do something for hemingfield too.... its an outstanding survivor!
