Hi
I was employed at Elsecar Main Colliery and started my apprentiship nearly 40 years ago has anyone know where I can obtain a picture or a plate just some memoriabila of Elsecar Main Collliery which closed nearly 30 years ago.

There is a good book out called "Black Diamonds" by Catherine Bailey. isbn 978-0-141-01923-9. It tells the story of the Fitzwilliams who lived at Wentworth-Woodhouse who owned the mine.
