My step son's father in law who died recently was a collector of books on mining - sad how I only learnt of our common interest after his death.

The collection, that I haven't seen but I understand to have been quite substantial, has been consigned to Whitton and Laing of Exeter to auction.

If I hear more I'll post again.

regards to all

I'm assuming a greater part of his interest would have been Cornwall/Devon?

I would have ebay'd it myself.

I saw a similar auction of a big mining book collection go very cheap at Phillips, Par. I am talking in the order of 1/50th of bookshop price. Boxes going for £10, etc.

Sadly, I arrived late to bid on an organ just as all this was being sold, didn't have my ticket, etc. 😞

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
