Hello,
Just to let you know, I've updated my Groverake plan in the documents section of Groverake Mine.
I realised that the scale indicator wasn't very useful (just shown as '1:1000'). Yes, I drew the plan to that scale on two pieces of A3 but if it was then subsequently printed out on say A4 the scale would be meaningless!
I've replaced this with a scale bar representing 100 metres and the sheets are now numbered Part 1 and 2.
As many will appreciate, the Beaumont Horse Level isn't shown, as I've never been in it - couldn't find the way in! Colin.

Thanks Colin.

The way I thought was the way in was a long crawl on top of a collapsed level, The other way in is a bit of a dig at the portal.

Just a word of warning for anyone who doesnt know the score here, read this before proceeding.

cleanest driest and easiest way in is a 20' drop down a hole up the hill 😎

I'm sure there was supposed to be a way in from Rake Level, but there is a lot of orange tomato soup to put you off and I never pushed it.
Wise words concerning the state of the place though - definitely not somewhere to linger and I certainly wouldn't want to!
