Ive spent Christmas in many odd places, but 2010 will be in the UK, Alone... Could do the parents place, but the Jovial falseness of "Peace and Goodwill to all of Mankind" is just too much to bare on one day of the year, and Ill only end up getting drunk and telling their cat I love it etc etc....

So, Christmas day, Im going to do a bit of Minex, followed by a BBQ on a mountain where the drift exits...

Anyone else in a similar lonely predicament is more than welcome to join me... in fact, is anyone else in a similar situation? lol, btw, UK is great! (Sarcasm!)

Oh yes, I've got the added joy of two whole days without any public transport 😠 , so I've got the choice of either being stuck at home or camping underground from Christmas Eve to the 27th.

Simon, Nenthead sounds like a plan ;-)

Skimble, Christmas is cake and hoop, no busses means the best place to be is underground... some of the winter sights are awesome! Turkey off a BBQ is clearly the way forward!

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
