Disabled parking spot of the year!

On my trip into Lathkill Dale the other day we drove down into the valley and parked in the limited spaces on the left... which were ok and passable to park in given the location... I must admit though I had a wry smile when I saw the parking space next to and below my own! Disabled it said... it was an inch deep in mud, on a slope and had no road surface 😮 !!! I certainly wouldn't be parking there if disabled and realistically would you even consider putting a disabled space there at all given its about 1 in 5 and on a hair pin bend and at best could be described as an 'interesting drive'!! :lol: But at least they can say they provided a disabled parking spot, PC but not alot of H&S. 🔗Personal-Album-856-Image-48973[linkphoto]Personal-Album-856-Image-48973[/linkphoto][/link]

I thought all of those spots were disabled parking, although I've never seen any parked there. And everytime I go past it I do wonder why it's there (and not at the bottom by the lodges)

The road does get a little less steeper there maybe a 1 in 4 becoming a 1 in 5

I went in a mine once.... it was dark and scary..... full of weirdos

When do I get my soapbox, I need to rant on about some b***cks

Nope only one disabled parking spot!!! Its also a c**p place to park or drive if disabled due to the gradient and hairpin bend... and I get the impression that the bottom of the lane is totally private...

Personally, I think the only reason this has been declared a disabled parking spot is to try and dissuade people from driving down to the bottom of the hill. It is handy for evening trips into Mandale though...
